TV series: Chicago Hope
"A Goy and His Dog" (3/10/1999)

The TV series "Chicago Hope" was aired also in Japan 4 or 5 years ago. A half year before the series started, "ER" had began and it became a big hit also in Japan...so maybe Japanese TV people thought "Chicago Hope" would be another big hit. Unfortunately, it did not. The series was cancelled only after the first 2 seasons (like "Picket Fences").

Lenny appeared in the episode "A Goy and His Dog" in the 5th season. He played a man named Tom Vendusen, who was once terminally ill but now was recovering. He was confused by the dramatic change of his situation and needs psychiatric help. During meeting his doctor, Tom confessed a murder - He killed a man when he believed that he was dying and had nothing to lose. The man was once a teacher in Tom's childhood and molested him.

When I first saw Lenny in this episode, I could not say a word (and still I am not able to find suitable words). Though all he did in the episode is that he appeared and talked, a deep sorrow and agony in his eyes would not allow me to use ordinary words like "moving," "impressive," "touching," and so on.
It was so emotional, and painful moment.

sorry..the the quality of these picutures is not good...
