"BLIND VISION" (1992)

STAFF: Directed by Shuki Levy, Written by Shuki Levy & Winston Richard, Director of Photography: Frank Byers, Music by Shuki Levy & Hiram Titus, Title song by Thelma Houston
CAST:Lenny von Dohlen (William Dalton), Deborah Shelton (Leanne Dunaway), Ned Beatty (Sgt. Logan), Louise Fletcher (Ms. Taylor),and Robert Vaughn (Mr. X)

William Dalton (Lenny) is deeply, intoxicatingly in love with beautiful Leanne (Deborah Shelton), who lives in the apartment in front of his. Leanne is working as a secretary in the company where William also works at the Mail Room, but he cannot talk with her because of his shyness. Everynight he watches her through his telephoto lens until she goes to bed, and sometimes even writes poetries dedicated to her. One night, he is shocked to witness her making love with a handsome boyfriend in her room...and soon after, the man is found to be killed on the road. Police starts to investigate the murder, and Sergent Logan (Ned Beatty) visits William and finds his camera in his room. Maybe William might be the killer. If he is not, who did it?

"Blind Vision" might be said to be an erotic adaptation of the classic "Rear Window." But it is not such "erotic"....unfortunately. At least, Lenny was not involved with those "erotic" scenes....unfortunately (or luckily?). So the film is very, very unsatisfactory for me. Ha ha.

Robert Vaughn also appeared in this film as mysterious "Mr. X." He used to be very famous also in Japan long, long time ago, as Napoleon Solo in "The Man from U.N.C.L.E." His appearance in a film like this made me a little sad.
